IMPERIAL STOUT WILD TURKEY BOURBON BARREL AGED

Imperial Stout is a strong, extremely black top-fermented STOUT with its typical aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate, etc. We brewed it in November 2024 and at the beginning of December transferred it to wooden barrels from American bourbon WILD TURKEY from Kentucky. The beer from the barrel thus takes on some of its aroma, which in this case is a hint of vanilla, caramel and honey and matured in it for 20 months. This resulted in 530 unique bottles, the beer has 11.0% alcohol and the original extract is 26%. The higher alcohol and extract is due to the fact that the wooden bourbon barrels are new, they absorb more distillate. The latter is then released from the wood into the beer, increasing both values.
